Backpacking in Jones Gap
March 13th, 2009 Posted in GeneralLast weekend Alexis, Bryanna, and I went on our first backpacking trip for this year. Valerie’s brother Scott came up from Charleston and met us at the trail head. We hiked in and camped about 2 miles from the parking lot. We did quite a bit of hiking on Saturday and hiked up to see a great waterfall on Sunday. Our best estimate is that we logged more than 17 miles total with very little trouble.
It really was a lot of fun, and we are already making plans for another trip in the very near future.
