Maddron Bald Loop Backpacking Trip

Alexis, Bryanna, and I got a chance to take another backpacking trip recently. This time we drove over to the Tennessee side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and did a loop hike starting out at the Cosby campground.  If you want all of the details, take a look at the GORP site.

It really was nice that weekend! The weather was just about perfect, until it rained hiking out on Sunday. We didn’t see very many people either, which was rather surprising.  I just can not believe how great the girls did.  They carried their own pack each of the three days, and we logged almost 18 miles on the trails!  Here are a few pictures of our weekend outing:
