Olympic National Park in Washington State

posted in General |

The first section we visited was the rainforest region of the park.  The amount of yearly rainfall is far greater than anywhere else in the area.

An entrance to the park Tree in Olympic National Park More tall trees More of the rainforest region… lots of moss This is just a section of a fallen tree.

The coastal region of the park was definitely a highlight.   I have visited different beaches on the east coast, the west coast, in the Carribbean, South America and Europe.  This one really amazed me with the enormous trees scatter along the beach and the beautiful stones covering the sand.

The coastal region of Olympis National Park… it sure was chilly but gorgeous I just thought the roots of these tree were neat. The beach was littered with dead trees. More views from the beach at sunset Dad walking on the beach

Dad again More scenes of the beach More of the beach and rocks… behind me is the forest going up the mountains side Can you tell I loved this part of the trip:)? Guess this proves I was there!
